Ok, I am currently making a map for 6 players, which got a dynamic part of alternating between land and sea. I decided I could post a WIP thread for it. Also, I would like suggestions for the name, as I am not really happy with the one it has right now.
The map is a cylinder thats hexagonal, and inside there is a platform at each side with water between eachother. This means the map fit 6 players best. In the middle there is another hexagonal cylinder thats not hollow, and every x time (not decided yet) will toggle between there and not there. ontop of this cylinder, there is a hexagonal spike, which results in a slight slope. This spike will toggle together with the cylinder under it.
When they is not there, the map is like a sea-map with 6 islands that are connected with a edge to another edge and posibility for flying combat, when it is there, the map have a with possibility to attack neighbours from water, go over middle on land, and still the air part. When it is toggling from water to land, a push field push up anything in the water, in order to make it instead of stuck in land, its resting on it.
I will add a field in air to make it harder to use flying contraptions, and a trigger hurt on bottom of water to kill shipwrecks.
The map got not very much space to make variants on, but that will either end in not expensive combat to get the resources, or some odd placed things. I dont really know.
If it seems needed, I can make a small island in middle that is slightly underwtaer, where there could be created different things like melonstrike and such.
I guess there is possible to make variant stuff on the water/land part, but that would require skill to not make it look to odd when it is water (so people dont wonder why that capture point is floating and how it keep itself upright).
Problems I have is that when starting the map in gmod, it crashes me, which I need your help with to get a solution, and the spike sometimes not being a 6 side spike, but actually a 5 sided one where one corner is odd placed, which I fix by remaking it.
