My other thread got derailed by myself (grognak) - so here is a new thread for wm_battlepit_v1. This map is actually broken right now until I fix the textures on it (in other words: rebuild the entire structure of the four bases). I would normally just fix the problem real quick and post it here, but it takes about 30 minutes to compile and so far I've compiled it three times today. Read below images for cool info. Upon pressing that button, everyone is suddenly surrounded by FOG. Beautiful fog! Press it again? It's gone. I've never used fog before, and I'll try to make it look better on the next compile (as well as increase the view distance). Here's what it looks like now:Anyways, expect release of this map tomorrow. A day late, I know, sorry! EDIT: By the way, the button is totally hidden. Not hidden very good, mind you, but still hidden from the average player.

Just FYI as long as you put a fog controller in the map and have working fog (distance could be a million so you don't notice) the map variant and admins can set fog to whatever they want at any time.
So you really don't even need buttons as long as you have a env fog controller that works.

Aha, compiled what I thought was the last compile after I rebuilt the bases and tweaked the fog / button / lighting / terrain / entire size of the map, and it turns out I got (I hope) one last compile till full version. It's at about 1 1/2 hour compile time, so I'm going to take a break and play some games before my computer enters the slow zone.
EDIT: There was a different post here before, so I edited in an update instead.

Final version is out! No texture problems, map is actually a little bigger now, the fog works perfectly, and so you don't get lost use the towers in the 4 corners to know where you're at. At this time, I'm compiling the map one LAST time ;D I will not be making anymore changes.
Four posts reside at each base. Each post must be pressed at the same time in order to toggle the fog. I will edit the download URL into this post when it's complete.
