If you don't mind I'm gonna jot down as much help as i can here. Forgive me if you already know this.
-Always always always build your spawn point and 8 harvesters first. its very easy to make yourself broke before the game even starts if you don't know what your doing.
actually no, you do need at least a few harvesters up first, but sometimes its better to have troops to fend off a rush
-I think its very funny when people think i hax since i usually have 10x more nrg than them mid-game. Remember not only to get your harvesters up, but to capture as many CPS as seems practical. Moment you start build harvesters until you have 8k or 4k nrg, spend the rest on light fighters, and send 1 to all your nearby points.
(E + right click on the point helps keep the melons there)
-Try not to become reliant on static defenses like these "defense towers" i keep seeing. Its much more rewarding to be offensive than defensive in this game.
-Most melons you build have options to check on or off in the Q menu. Whether they're checked or not can make melons much more expensive than they need to be.
If checked,
*Commandable, More expensive, can order melons
*Gravity Toggle, Less expensive, Melon has gravity
*Weld, Less expensive, Melon is stuck to surface and harder to hit
*Marine, More expensive, Melon can go underwater
I forget the others, but it should be pretty obvious whether it makes the melon more expensive or not, as well as what it does.
-When starting off pick a spot not only near 1 or 2 nrg nodes, but plan for the future what your harvesters will do when those nodes are gone. What i mean is your harvesters will likely get stuck later if you don't plan for it, and its a pain in the ass to get them unstuck.
-Try and master how to put your melons in different stances (/help menu) Really i don't think you need anything other than hold position and berzerk, but the former will make your melons more willing to listen to your commands and berzerk will make you need to micromanage less.
-To get balloon harvesters, balloons need to be at 300 force.
-The select gun is garbage, you should bind keys to select instead.
The commands you need to bind are in the /help menu, i think the ones you need at minimum are wmorder and +wmselect.
-Early game if you need to protect your harvesters, I recommend snipers. If your playing against me, be absolutely certain that ill rape your harvesters.
-An easy way to get vehicles to turn is to substitute the 2 front wheels for 2 hoverballs. Then thrusters for turning.
-If you see someone has launched a melon strike, quickly think about what is most valuable to you, then move it.
To make a flying bomb
order core with i think a strength of 3k or so and gravity toggle unchecked, and then weld bombs onto the core itself. The bombs don't need commandable checked, and ill let you figure out when you'll need a flying bomb.
